Completes the BBQ  -  Meat roasts, chickens, turkeys, this rotisserie handles them all, the result is meat so moist you'll not want to roast in the oven again. Ample power and good battery life, no need to mess with electric extension cables. Best bit of BBQ kit I ever bought.

Excellent piece of kit  -  This rotisserie is the Rolls Royce of rotisserie's the strong motor and sturdy construction is superb. I bought it to fit on my Broil King Barbie. The counterbalance on the spit stops excess movement and uneven cooking. Beware when fitting as it comes with several bracket types.

MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!  -  Had a neighbour with me in when it arrive and he insisted that we put it together there and then. After drilling 2 holes in the BBQ things didn't look right. He then left for me to deal with the Heath Robinson set up! I turn the instructions over and he-presto, 2 screws and works perfectly.

An excellent accessory  -  This is the best rotisserie I was able to find. Perfect one piece spit which is very important - roasted the largest leg of lamb I could buy during 'Bertha' at the weekend - nothing stops me bbq'ing!! The rotisserie just 'purred' through the deluge!

Very pleased  -  The delivery was very fast and I have used it with great success to cook a joint of pork and a chicken. Both turned out just as I wanted and the first pair of batteries are still working. Great rotisserie.

Very well made and does the job perfectly  -  Typical high quality equipment from Barbeque Genius/Broil King and worked perfectly. Was a bit worried about battery life but ran for 2 hours without running down the batteries. However, contrary to the advert, you can connect a AC -DC 3 volt adapter as there's a socket on the side for one.

"Roast Turkey - Rotisserie Method"

Since the rotisserie is operated by electricity, do not use it during rainy or snowy weather. Remember to use a drip pan. Position the pan beneath centre of food. Put half to one inch of water in the drip pan and add cranapple or pineapple juice for added flavour. Do not let drip pan burn dry.

Lay turkey, breast side down, and stuff. Bring neck skin up over neck cavity. Turn under edges of skin; skewer to back skin. Loop twine around skewer and tie. Turn breast side up. Tie or skewer wings to body. It is important to securely tie the turkey.

Put spit fork on rod. Insert rod in neck skin parallel to backbone; bring it out just above tail. Put a second fork on rod. Insert forks in breast and tail area. Test for balance. Tighten screws. Tie tail to rod with twine. Cross legs; tie to tail.

Test for balance/Spit Balancer. Loosen the rod handle to allow the balancer to turn freely. Set the rotisserie rod in the slots of the grill casting. Let the heaviest side of the meat rotate to the bottom. Adjust the balancer to the top of the rod, opposite the heaviest side of the meat. Tighten the rod handle. Periodically, check to see if the meat turns smoothly while cooking. Adjust the balancer as necessary.

NOTE: If your grill is equipped with a rear rotisserie burner, do not operate main burner when rear burner is in use
